Best Restaurants in Cabo San Lucas
My husband and I explored Cabo’s dining scene with two toddlers in tow. We ate at many spots, but a few stood out.
When choosing the best restaurants in Cabo, I consider a few key things:
Atmosphere: A great setting can make a meal even more special, whether it’s ocean views, a beautiful setup, or an overall welcoming vibe.
Family-Friendly: Easy access for strollers, a relaxed environment for kids, and something entertaining to keep them engaged while still feeling like a treat for the adults.
Great Food: Fresh ingredients, a variety of flavors, and dishes that are exciting but still approachable.
From fresh seafood to immersive dining experiences, these three restaurants checked all the boxes. Whether you’re looking for a scenic, elegant dinner or a fun, casual meal, you'll find something unforgettable in Cabo!
Cocina Del Mar: Stunning Views & Incredible Seafood
Cocina Del Mar Menu
If you're looking for a spot that truly captures the essence of Baja cuisine, this is it! Cocina Del Mar felt like the perfect blend of stunning coastal views and incredible food.
Perched along the rocky coastline, this restaurant offers an experience as breathtaking as the food itself. We started with the Seafood Fondue, a rich, melty mix of blue crab, shrimp, and squid, all swimming in chihuahua cheese and topped with green onions. The cornbread on the side soaked up every last bite—so good.
Then came the Baja Lobster, and I can confidently say, it was the best lobster we’ve ever had. Perfectly tender and smothered in a chipotle beurre blanc, it paired beautifully with the chihuahua cheese charro beans and pickled slaw. Wrapped up in warm flour tortillas with the “taquera” salsa, every bite was packed with bold flavors.
Why We Loved It
Beyond the food, Cocina Del Mar has a relaxed yet elevated vibe, complete with a bar and lounge. The gorgeous outdoor setting kept the kids happy and chill.
Unexpected fireworks at the end of the night were a magical bonus!
El Farallon: A Cliffside Culinary Experience
If you’re looking for a restaurant with a view, El Farallon is a must-visit. Perched on the cliffs where the ocean meets the mountains, the ambiance alone makes it unforgettable.
What Makes It Special:
A four-course dinner featuring creative flavor and texture combinations.
Their Champagne Terrace offers 20 varieties of champagne—perfect for a tasting flight with ocean waves in the background.
Live music enhanced the entire dining experience.
Despite its upscale feel, the restaurant is still welcoming for families, making it a great choice for both fine dining and family-friendly experiences.
Perfect for: A memorable night out with a mix of fine dining and family-friendly elements.
Los Tres Sirenas: A Fun, Family-Friendly Spot
Los Tres Sirenas had such a fun, laid-back atmosphere that made it a great spot for families. The “under the sea” theme, complete with staff dressed as ship captains and pirates, made it especially fun for the kids. On top of that, the restaurant has live music every night, and the artists performing during our visit really added to the experience.
The food was just as impressive. The wild tuna tostada was a favorite, with an Asian-style sauce, avocado, onion, cherry tomatoes, and coriander. We also tried the soft shell crab tostada with guacamole, organic salad, coriander dressing, ajillo, and rice paper tostada, along with blue crab enchiladas and fried calamari. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and surprisingly affordable. The ahi tuna tostada, for example, was only six dollars, which was such a great deal considering the quality.
To top it all off, we ended the meal with tres leches cake, which turned out to be the best one we had all week. Between the great food, fun atmosphere, and daily live music, Los Tres Sirenas was definitely a standout.
We felt so lucky to have such a cool restaurant in proximity to our hotel. We stayed at the Corazón, a luxury resort in the heart of Medano Beach. This was right across the street!
